WCOE has announced the annual leadership conference will be held in Washington DC at the Willard Hotel April 3 to 5, 2016. The event will host women from across the nation for networking, speakers and special events including visits to Capitol Hill. Conference details will be available soon.

WCOE Welcomes Deputy Secretary Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall to Gala Celebration

A night of celebration was held on Monday, March 30 as WCOE presented awards and hosted speakers. The Mobius Award for Influential Woman in Government was presented to Deputy Secretary Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall.

Deputy Secretary Sherwood-Randall commented on another award recipient, Senator Mikulski, who was one of only two women in the Senate when the Deputy Secretary was just starting out as a foreign and defense policy advisor for then-Senator Biden. “She has been a trailblazer for so many of us, and has fought on behalf of women for decades.”

WCOE Elects New Board of Directors

Women Construction Owners & Executives, USA recently elected a new Board of Directors effective March 30, 2015. The new Board of Directors will serve for one year. Caryn Boisen, Larson King, LLP, St. Paul, Minnesota, will serve as President; Stephanie Hickman, Trice Construction, Chicago, Illinois, will serve as President-Elect; and Karen Barbour, The Barbour Group, Baltimore, Maryland, will serve as Secretary/Treasurer.

Jane Hilboldt Honored as One of St. Louis' Most Tenacious Entrepreneurs

Jane Hilboldt, CEO, Hilboldt Curtainwall, Inc. and Member of the National Board of directors for WCOE, USA, has been selected as one of the Top Women Business Owners by the St. Louis Small Business Monthly. The organization has been honoring women entrepreneurs for the past 22 years. The women are recognized for their continued help and support the St. Louis business region grow and prosper. Their combined success illustrate how women continue to shape the business world.
