Caryn A. Boisen

Caryn, a partner with Larson • King, focuses her practice in the areas of construction, commercial litigation, business litigation, and insurance. She provides advice to clients regarding business planning and avoiding disputes. She also has significant experience in all aspects of litigation activities for both plaintiffs and defendants, including jury trials, bench trials, arbitrations, and mediations.

Caryn has represented clients since 1997 in a wide variety of matters, including contract drafting and negotiation, administrative and governmental proceedings, and complex civil litigated disputes venued throughout the United States. Caryn has represented clients in diverse industries, including construction, insurance, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, technology and e-commerce, media and broadcasting, and venture capital and consulting. In the construction area, Caryn has represented contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, owners, and design professionals in matters involving both residential and commercial projects. She has extensive experience in mechanics' liens, bond claims, construction contracts, construction defects, jobsite accidents, OSHA, and arbitration. Caryn also has represented major property and liability insurers on a broad range of matters, including construction, environmental, and claim handling issues. 

Caryn grew up in the Twin Cities area. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul in 1994, and her law degree from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul in 1997. Prior to joining Larson • King, Caryn worked for a large Washington, D.C. law firm.
