Marian K. Selvaggio

Experience

In 2002, Ms. Selvaggio graduated from Loyola Law School Cum Laude and as a member of the prestigious Order of the Coif. Since then, she has earned the reputation as being a rising star in construction litigration by successfully managing and resolving several multi-million dollar construction cases. Ms. Selvaggio has both litigated and tried a number of cases in California state courts, Federal courts including the United States Court of Federal Claims, and in administrative hearings before the California Department of Industrial Relations and the California Department of Transportation. Ms. Selvaggio has also successfully represented clients in big protest hearings involving a number of public works projects throughout California. Ms. Selvaggio is committed to green guilding design, construction, and operations, as evidenced by her LEED Green Associate credential. 

Ms. Selvaggio is the co-author of the "Smart Girls' Guide To Construction Law" and the architect of the "Smart Girls" initiative directed at women-owned and/or operated companies in the construction industry. The Smart Girls mission is to advance and support the success of women in the construction industry. Prior to joining Hunt Ortmann, Ms. Selvaggio also handled legal issues involving intellectual property, copyright and trademark litigration, media law, right of publicity and privacy law, defamation, business torts, and internet-domain law.
