Rosana is a life-long employee of Mark One Electric Co., Inc., a second generation family-owned specialty electrical contracting firm that was founded in 1974 by Carl and Josephine Privitera. In the beginning, Mark One serviced small business, commercial, and industrial accounts. The company quickly developed a reputation for completing difficult jobs for demanding clients like GM and Ford and was soon working in car plants and industrial facilities across the country. In1994, after 20 years with the company as an employee and as Secretary/Treasurer, she became the President and an Owner of Mark One. Rosana currently oversees the day-to-day operations of the company with all eight departments reporting directly to her. Under Rosana’s leadership, and with the support of her tremendous staff, Mark One has grown to over 200 employees and is one of Kansas City’s top 10 electrical contractors, participating in several of the region's high-profile projects, such as Ameristar (Station) Casino, Kansas Speedway, The Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, The Nebraska Furniture Mart, The Kansas City Star, Harley-Davidson, IRS-New Service Center, Kauffman Fountains, Kauffman Stadium Renovation, J.E. Dunn Headquarters, and the Kansas City International Airport. Mark One’s current projects include Kansas City Performing Arts Center and the Children’s Campus in Kansas City, Kansas. Rosana’s primary focus is to continue to build Mark One’s successes, to ensure that it will be here for future generations.
Mark One supports or is a member of a number of industry and professional organizations such as the Kansas City Chapter Associated General Contractors; The Heavy Constructors Association; National Electrical Contractors Association; Kansas City Hispanic Association Contractors Enterprise; and the Minority Contractors Association. In addition, Rosana’s desire to improve the business climate of women and minorities in the Kansas City area and elsewhere is highlighted through her many efforts and participation on local, regional and national boards, committees and organizations. This is exemplified though her current involvement with the Minority and Women Coalition, where she works closely with minority and women construction associations and the City of Kansas City, Missouri to review ongoing construction projects to help ensure the participation goals for women minorities are met on jobs bid by the City.
