Rosemary Ramirez Barbour

Rosemary Ramirez Barbour is President and Owner of Alcatec, LLC a firm that designs and manufactures self contained mobile shower units, laundry units and restrooms/ portable toilets for on-demand remote locations. We provide services to the government, business and industries that require portable units for their specific needs. She graduated with an MBA from the University of Mississippi. She received her B.A., double major in French and Business, with an emphasis on international business from Goucher College in Towson, Maryland. She studied at the Inlingua School of Languages in Italy, Switzerland and France. Rosemary served in the round table discussions of the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA). She also serves on other boards.

She is presently affiliated with the following organizations Board of Trustees, Community Foundation of Greater Jackson; Senior Vice President, Women Construction Owners & Executives; Chairman, Mississippi Immigrants Community Development Corporation. She has served on the Board, Caribbean-Central American Action; Board Member, Caribbean-Central American Action; Board of Directors, The Hispanic Scholarship Fund Institute; Board Member, Hispanic Alliance for Progress Institute; Board Member, Member, U.S. Senate Republican Conference Task Force on Hispanic Affairs; Member of the Mississippi Republican Party State Central Committee; Southeastern Advisory Board for Fannie Mae and The Mississippi Advisory Board for the Partnership Office of Fannie Mae. She was also appointed by President Bush to serve as a Member of the Advisory Committee on the Arts, for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Other boards she has served on are Past Committee Member of the Mississippi Opera and Executive Member to the Mississippi Diabetes Foundation.

Originally from Guatemala, Rosemary currently lives in Jackson, Mississippi with her husband, Charles, and two children Camille Marie (19) and Allen (14).
