Work in California? This ASA Webinar Series Might be Helpful

As our California members might know, there have been changes in state laws. On 7/1/12, a new version of the California mechanic's lien law went into effect. On 1/1/13, a new law prohibiting type 1 indemnity for most California construction projects will go into effect.

To help you navigate these changes, ASA is offering a 3-part webinar series later this year. The series is free for ASA members and $99 for non-ASA members. The series will be presented by Dan McLennon, the ASA of California Government Relations Chair. The topics that Dan will cover are:

  • November 7, 2012: Top 20 Laws that Will Affect California Subcontractors Starting Jan. 1, 2013
  • November 21, 2012: How California's New Anti-Indemnity Law Will Protect Subcontractors
  • December 5, 2012: What Changes to California's Lien Law will Mean for Subcontractors

All the webinars will start at 12:00pm Pacific Time and are scheduled to last 90 minutes.
