This Code of Conduct has been developed to promote and maintain the highest standards of professional conduct among members of the Women Construction Owners & Executives, USA. They are a set of ideals to which WCOE members aspire. Adherence to these standards is expected from all WCOE members and serves to ensure professionalism and integrity in all of the interactions of the association.
As a member of WCOE I agree that I will maintain high ethical and moral standards in my contact with other contractors, suppliers, clients, the public, government agencies, WCOE and its members by:
Observance of Laws and Regulations
Conduct my business in accordance with the letter, spirit, and intent of all relevant laws, specifications, regulations, and applicable government and industry standards.
(a) The debarment of the individual or her company from federal, state or local contracting shall make that member ineligible to serve as a Committee Chair or on the Board of Directors during the period of their debarment.
(b) Conviction of a fraud or a felony related to business practices shall make that member ineligible to serve as a Committee Chair or on the Board of Directors.
(c) Such ineligibility as stated in 1(a) and 1(b) above shall remain in place during any appeal process. If the debarment or conviction is overturned on appeal, the member shall again be eligible to Chair a Committee or serve on the Board of Directors.
Truth in Advertising
Ensure that all of my business communications and advertising will be truthful and in good taste; free of false claims and statements.
Relations with WCOE
Conform to and support the bylaws and guidelines of WCOE and provide factual and accurate information to WCOE as it may be required for the determination of membership status or demographic data.
