Lorraine is the Founder and President of LDA Compliance Consulting Inc., a full service legal and regulatory risk management compliance advisory firm specializing in solution-oriented, preventative corporate ethics and compliance program design, assessment, auditing, monitoring, investigations, education and training. She is a former C-Suite executive with proven success in leading regulatory compliance and risk management and is experienced in the function, design and implementation of “best practice” integrity programs.
Lorraine was formerly the Senior Vice President, Ethics & Compliance for Dragados USA, Inc., and the Ethics and Corporate Compliance Officer/Counsel for Schiavone Construction Co. LLC, John P. Picone Incorporated and Pulice Construction; all subsidiaries of Madrid based Grupo ACS, a global construction contractor. She is an accredited ethics and compliance professional. Her 21 years as a commercial and construction law litigator left her uniquely positioned to make her companies leaders in the industry in establishing effective, comprehensive ethics and compliance programs. She was responsible for creating, designing, implementing and overseeing those “best practices” programs at her companies.
She has been recognized as a dynamic, forward-looking executive and leader in ethics and compliance issues facing the construction industry, particularly with respect to small, minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business participation on government funded projects.
Lorraine is or was active with leading industry organizations: the Construction Industry Ethics Compliance Initiative (company representative to the organization), the Women Builders Council (member of the Board of Directors, a local NY based organization), the Women Construction Owners and Executives (member of the Board of Directors, a national organization), the American Road and Transportation Builders Association, the General Contractors Association of New York, the Associated General Contractors, The Building Trades and Employers Association and is a frequent lecturer on ethics and compliance issues which are particularly relevant to the construction industry.
She is currently the co-chair of the Construction and Engineering Group of the Ethical Compliance Officers Association. and co-chair of the Transportation Law Committee of the American Road and Transportation Builders Association.
She is the author of the construction industry chapter in Corporate Compliance Guide: The Next Generation of Compliance published by Lexis.
In 2009, she was named an Outstanding Woman in Construction by the Woman’s Builder’s
Council. In June 2012, she received the 2012 NJBiz General Counsel of the Year Award for Corporate Compliance Professional/ Private Company. The NJ Biz General Counsel Award brings recognition to New Jersey area General Counsels and Compliance Professionals as “dynamic forward-looking executives, along with the companies for which they work.” In May 2013 Lorraine was honored at the Salute to Women of Achievement Awards luncheon where she received PWC’s prestigious Excellence Award.
